Stephen N. Horwitz, M.D., is a well-known dermatologist who has been practicing in South Florida for more than 25 years. In the summer of 2004, he opened his new practice in Aventura where he provides both cosmetic and medical dermatology services.

Dr. Horwitz is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, and served on numerous committees at Mount Sinai Medical Center where, for the first ten years of his career, he was Vice Chairman of the Department of Dermatology before going into private dermatologic practice. He is a member of numerous medical associations including: the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Dade County Medical Association, Florida Medical Association, Florida Dermatological Association, and Miami Dermatological Society. He is also a frequent lecturer and the author of more than a dozen dermatologic articles. He received his undergraduate degree at University of Miami, and his medical degree from Tulane Medical School. He completed dermatology residencies at Charity Hospital, Tulane Division in New Orleans, and at Mount Sinai Medical Center locally.
